Dancing

I felt your breath upon my neck,
Your hands around my waist,
We softly danced to old love songs,
All the time embraced.
Your hands slid round and up my back,
You held me closer still,
Whispered softly in my ear,
Giving me a chill.
You told me that you loved me,
The words were unforeseen,
For never in a million years,
Could I hope that you’d love me.
My hands slid up your strong torso,
Softly cradled your face,
I felt my body start to shake,
I felt my heart begin to race.
Your lips softly brushed against mine,
My heart skipped a beat,
And the butterflies in my stomach,
Got a special treat.
I looked into your deep dark eyes,
Got lost inside your heart,
And ‘til this day I always find,
I’m nothing when we’re apart.
