Keeping Long Distance Relationships Alive

Written by PLS on August 2nd, 2008

Long distance relationships are no longer unusual in today’s society. In fact, they’re almost the norm! Internet dating, career relocation and higher education needs have created a worldwide singles scene for today’s savvy single. These days, it’s possible your girlfriend or boyfriend lives across the country - or even across the world!

Unfortunately, maintaining a long distance relationship isn’t always easy. The lack of private time together - coupled with different environments and experiences - can stress even the most loving of relationships. Fortunately, there are some easy ways to keep the spark alive when your lover is miles away.

Use technology! E-mail, text messages and instant messaging are simple ways to “touch base” regularly without the time (and long distance bill!) of a phone call. A quick note to tell your lover that you’re thinking of him/her can be enough to keep the fires burning.

Go old-fashioned! Sure, technology is easy and convenient. But there’s nothing like an old-fashioned letter to really touch the heart of the one you love. Since you have plenty of time to think about the words you want to say, your letter should be both heartfelt and meaningful. Use elegant stationary to make it even more special.

Men are not usually the most romantic creatures. Either it takes a lot of prompting and training for them to become romantic or somehow they were blessed and decided to become romantic on their own. Usually it involves a lot of prompting on your part to make him realize that you need some romance or you set the scene yourself.

One way to get him to take notice is to romance yourself. You deserve it and if he isn’t going to do for you, you can do it for yourself. Start out by getting yourself into shape both physically and mentally, change what you can and want to change and learn to accept the things that can not be changed.

You have to consciously decide you want to be a sexy woman deserving of love and romance. Get comfortable with your naked body and decide that you want to have a great sex life. Get a makeover; change your hairstyle and even your hair color. Put on beauty colors Go for a day at the spa. Pamper yourself.

Special Wedding Vows

Written by PLS on July 19th, 2008

http://www.chapelatthepark.com/bride2-groom-alter-400v.jpeg

The wedding vows are a solemn promise between the groom and bride. In front of witnesses, the groom and bride take turns to tell their wedding vows. There are hundreds of wedding vows. The wedding vow may be religious, traditional, interfaith, or personalized.

Traditionally, the one who marries you asks a series of questions to the groom and bride. Facing each other and holding hands with each other, the groom and bride take turns to do the wedding vows.

I know not if the voice of man can reach to the sky
I know not if the gods will hear as I pray
I know not if the gifts I asked for will be granted
I know not what will come to pass in our future days
I hope that only good will come, my love, to you.

I know now that the voice of man can reach to the sky
I know now that the gods have heard as I prayed
I know now that the gifts I asked for have all been granted
I know now that the word of old we truly have heard
I know now that our future days will have no number
I know that only good will come, my love, to us

I give you my love for all eternity. My devotion to you, unwavering. I promise to hold you and cherish you, through the good times and bad, in sickness and health, to share my life with you, to give myself fully, to give love and support to the best love in exceeding all my abilities. With this ring, I thee wed for now and forever. There was no one in my past, no one my present, and there will be no one in my future who will ever have a hold on me. You are my life.

Written by PLS on July 19th, 2008

http://www.floweradvisor.ru/img/florist/champagne%20roses.jpg

Roses are the ultimate flower for expression of emotion or feeling. As a gift, roses can convey different meanings if the person receiving them knows the symbolism attached to the various colors of roses. Over the years, the meanings behind the different colors of roses have evolved to cover many sentiments. Before ordering a bouquet of roses for delivery, or to interpret possible meaning behind the last bouquet of roses you received, read on to learn the meanings associated with many common colors of roses.

Red is the most commonly given color of roses. Red signifies love and passion. True red is the rose for lovers. Fiery red roses signify passion, while cardinal red symbolizes desire. Fully bloomed red roses best convey the message “I still love you,” while red rose buds are a way to express love for the first time.

Yellow roses once meant jealousy, but today the yellow rose signifies friendship, familiar love, and domestic happiness. Yellow roses can also be an appropriate sentiment to express sympathy. Orange roses symbolize an expression of pride or amazement, while peach roses symbolize appreciation and desire. A bouquet of orange roses would be appropriate for a graduate or to commemorate a promotion, while peach could express sincere appreciation for someone’s accomplishments.

More Romantic Destinations

Written by PLS on July 18th, 2008

http://www.aspireholidays.co.uk/offers/images/honeymoon.jpg

There are just so many great honeymoon destinations out there. So in order to help you choose the perfect location for your honeymoon or romantic getaway, I’ve compiled this list of five great romantic destinations.

These five spots are all naturally blessed, with amazing scenery, wonderful hotels, and fantastic restaurants — everything you want in a honeymoon destination.

1. Antigua

Antigua is a great little Caribbean island. It has excellent beaches and even better hotels. Home to several wonderful and intimate resorts, Antigua is laid back and relaxing. If you are looking to just get away from it all, be pampered, and enjoy a perfect beach, then Antigua is the place for you.

2. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Cabo is known for its great golf and deep sea fishing, but it is also home to some amazing world-class resorts and some incredibly romantic locations. Blessed with year-round warmth, amazing beaches, and stunning coastal views, Cabo is one honeymoon spot you really should consider.

3. San Francisco, California

The City by the Bay is arguably the most romantic city in North America. With its breathtaking coastline, world-class dining, wonderful hotels, and the most amazing city views, San Francisco is the perfect romantic getaway for those seeking a more cosmopolitan experience. As an added bonus, the wonderful Napa Valley is just an hour away, making for a great day trip from the city. Take a hot air balloon ride over the wineries, and top the day off with a perfect gourmet dinner and a bottle of local wine - now that’s a honeymoon experience to remember!

4. St. Lucia

One of the most beautiful islands in all of the Caribbean, St. Lucia is also home to some incredible romantic hotels set in about the most beautiful locations you can imagine. A volcanic island, St. Lucia is known for its steep peaks covered in lush tropical greenery. It is truly a romantic paradise, with amazing beaches, dramatic coves, and incredible sunsets. Saint Lucia is the perfect place for a quiet, romantic honeymoon.

5. Riviera Maya, Mexico

Located south of Cancun on Mexico’s eastern Caribbean coast, the Riviera Maya is home to white sand beaches, stunning turquoise waters, and ancient Mayan pyramids and other ruins. There are some wonderful new hotels along the Riviera Maya too. The area is great for those seeking modern comforts combined with the opportunity for adventure. Venture out from your luxury hotel to explore the pyramids or go diving in ancient underground rivers. The Riviera Maya is a great place for anyone looking for that perfect mix of romance, excitement, culture, and vibrant nightlife, and it’s one of my favorite romantic destinations.

Romantic Ideas - Keeping It Simple

Written by PLS on June 30th, 2008

http://www.nfbar.net/komuniti/media/images/promo/dating_picture.jpg

Romantic date ideas are being searched for all over the internet. The reason for the mass amount of searching for these keywords is because people in relationships are realizing how important it is to go out every once in a while, without the kids, without your friends, just you and your loved one. Doing this helps to keep the partners in a relationship close and focused on each other. The more one-on-one time you can spend with your loved one, the more time you will have to bond and to get more intimate with one another. What makes a romantic date you may ask. When you are thinking of this question, remember 3 simple ways to classify a romantic date. It is generally a romantic date idea if you are with your partner one-on-one, you get the chance to talk and learn about each other, and if you become closer because of it.

The first way to decide if a date is a romantic date idea is to ask the question are you alone with your date. There are situations where a date can be romantic with a group of people, but most of the time, you want a romantic date to be just the two of you. Having a family night where it is you, your partner, and your kids, or a friends’ night where you leave the kids with the sitter and go out with your friends are two great ways to bond with people you care a lot about. However, there are some times that you just have to explain to everyone that you need time out from everyone but that special person. This helps to bring a closeness that just doesn’t happen around other people.

Another way to determine the “romanticness” of a date is to know whether you will get the chance to talk and learn more about each other. Going on a roller coaster ride sounds like a very fun date, but it would not be the first date that I would classify as a romantic date idea. Screaming down a coaster track may be a way to have a great time, but romance might be lacking from the equation. If you were to go out to a dinner or a nice quiet picnic after the amusement park, that is a way to get romance into the situation. Laying on a blanket beneath the stars or eating over soft candlelight are two dates that first pop to mind when thinking of romance.

One other way to decide whether you have a romantic date idea is to determine whether you will be closer emotionally to your partner. A romantic date doesn’t have to be a fancy dinner and expensive wine. Romance can happen when you are eating hot dogs from a hot dog vendor in a park. It can happen shopping for groceries at a local supermarket. In other words, it is not the setting that determines whether a date is romantic or not. The outcome is much more important in concluding whether or not a date is romantic.

A romantic date idea is generally easy to recognize. First, you must be able to get alone with the one you love. This means, no kids, no friends, and no other family. Secondly, find out whether or not you will have a chance to talk and get emotionally closer to each other. The third thing that can help determine whether or not a date is romantic is the outcome of the date. When emotional closeness is the outcome of a date, no matter what other factors are involved the date has been successfully romantic.

Sensual Bubble Bath

Ready for a romantic evening with your spouse? Put the kids to bed early and get ready to relax. While your husband is watching the news after dinner fill the bathtub with hot water, lots of bubbles, and some rose scented oil and rose petals. use about 15 white candles all over the bathroom. Especially in front of the mirrors, the flicker from the candles in the mirror gives a nice romantic glow. Put a small table next to the bathtub. On the table put a tray with two glasses, some fresh fruit, and some champaign  or sparkling grape juice.  Now go  get your husband and lead him by the hand to your own private paradise. Relax together in the warm water feeding each other the fresh fruit and sipping champaign. You will be so relaxed you will have a wonderful evening together. Giving each other a bath can be a sensual heavenly experience.

Here’s what you’ll need to make the experience a perfect one:

  • Candles
  • Music
  • Bubble bath
  • Bath pillow
  • Bath salts
  • Bath oils
  • 2 towels (one large, one small)
  • Large empty cup
  • Sponge (something to rub all over each others  skin)
  • Shampoo
  • Champagne (and/or other drinks)
  • Bucket with ice
  • 2 champagne flutes
  • Strawberries (and/or other sensual fruit), halved and sprinkled with sugar
  • Body cream (for later)

    Making A Lasting Impression

Written by PLS on June 23rd, 2008

You met the girl that might be that special girl, the one you want to take home and meet the family. How do you make that lasting impression? With romance of course. You don’t have to have a lot of money either. One of my favorite ideas is a picnic on the beach at sunset. A nice blanket, picnic basket with some fresh strawberries with chocolate dipping sauce, croissants and some cold fried chicken. Bring a small radio to play some soft romantic music while you eat. Sit on the blanket feeding each other as the sunsets. This is a perfect time for intimate conversations after all you have the whole beach to yourselves. when you finished eating take a long walk along the waters edge hand in hand. For those of you not lucky enough to live by the ocean a lake or a stream works just as well. Sitting by the waters edge with your feet in laughing and talking. You can even take a romantic swim.

Most relationships don’t know how to keep romance alive and this is why couples get bored with each other. After couples get married and the kids come along most couples forget about their own needs. You should make a few hours of alone time each day or once a week go out and have some fun. We all love our kids but its a fact that we need time alone too especially those woman who have decided to stay at home and raise the kids and don’t get out of the house much. If you can’t afford a baby sitter make a nice romantic evening at home. Feed the kids early give them a bath and read them a story together. Then you have the rest of the night together. Light the candles and have a nice relaxing dinner. Turn on some music and slow dance together. If you have a porch go outside and dance under the stars. Do what ever it takes it isn’t very hard.

I’ll give you some romantic gift ideas in the next post.
