Walking Hand In Hand
We spent the summer hand in hand
Walking on the beach..
Tuning out the rest of the world only
listening to the our hearts.
We were connected by a feeling in our
soul that only we understood.
People thought we were crazy,
we didn’t care though.
We just kept walking hand in hand,
listening to the sound of the sea.
Who was the only one who fully understood,
how we felt.
The sun begins to set and the air gets cooler.
I faintly walk away in silence…nothing left
but the seagulls call.
I hear a buzzing noise.
I wake up and realize it was all a dream,
i sit there in silence.
It all felt so real.
